Since elementary school Jimena�s favorite subjects have been math and science. It was not until her freshman year in high school did she realize how strongly she wanted to go to college and pursue a career in science. She now plans to earn a degree in bioengineering�which offers a number of various aspects of science that interest her. Maintaining well over a 4.0 GPA in her academic classes, Jimena has been accepted to colleges within both the UC and CSU systems.
