Scholarship Winner

Gabriela will be the first in her family to attend college. Coming from Guatemala at an early age, Gabriela learned English quickly and has now earned an academic GPA of 3.86 taking Advance Placement classes at OHS. Involved in numerous community services ranging from cleaning the streets of Oceanside to helping nurture rescued animals, she has come to realize the importance of helping others. She has served as the Vice President of the Hispanic Professional Engineers at OHS and through this involvement, she expanded her interests on a professional level. She plans to help other in the future as a lawyer, helping those who come from under-represented communities.
