Family is very important to Bernard and through the struggles with his family he has become even more devoted to them. He sees the perseverance of his parents and realizes the importance of pursuing and accomplishing his career goals. He plans to attend college and pursue his dream of working in the health field, specifically mental health to become a psychiatrist or registered nurse.
