Kristin was born and raised in Oceanside and attended Palmquist Elementary and Lincoln Junior High before attending OHS.  As a four sport Varsity athlete playing volleyball, basketball, softball and soccer, she earned multiple All CIF and All League accolades. She ended her final senior season being awarded the CIF Softball Player of the Year, leading the Pirates to their first CIF Championship, and was named the San Diego Tribune’s Female Athlete of the Year. Kristin decided to continue her education and soccer career at the University of California, San Diego.  During her time at UCSD, the Tritons were 2-time NCAA National Champions, 3-time NCAA Regional Champions and 4-time CCAA conference champions.  Kristin is a 2-time NCAA All-American, 3-time NCAA All-West Region and was named CCAA Conference Player of the Year as a Senior.  The Tritons’ record during her four seasons is an impressive 75-10-2. After exhausting her eligibility, Kristin jumped straight into coaching at her alma mater in 2004. She took over as the top assistant under her former head coach, Brian McManus, and helped lead the Tritons to the NCAA Tournament in 12 out of the 14 years they coached together.  Kristin was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2015 and during the 2018 season was named Head Coach of the NCAA Division 1 Tritons. During her time at UCSD, she has coached over 30 All- Americans, taken several players to professional leagues around the world, and has been a role-model and advocate for empowering women. Kristin is committed to building a program of excellence and passion that creates a cohesive group of strong, driven women who are dedicated to being a positive influence in their communities.
