The 2008 Hall of Fame induction ceremony
will include an Open House from 9 am to noon with the Hall of Fame induction at 10:00 am. The
Commemorative Tile Dedication at Senior Fountain and a reception will follow.
Also join us at 4pm on Friday night before the Homecoming game for an All-Class
Sundowner at the 101 Cafe, 631 S. Coast Highway, Oceanside. Our own Jack White,
class of 1957, and local TV News anchor for many, many years, will
emcee the event, sharing many stories and experiences from his long
career on TVJohn Daley, owner of
101 Cafe, and member of the class of 1967, will rope off the parking
lot for our use in addition to the care. There is plenty of
on-street parking for this event. We will have a no-host bar,
courtesy of the Oceanside Jaycees, and no-host dining in the Cafe.
Mr. Daley will be donating a percentage of the evening's sales to
the Foundation. There will be live music (Rock & Roll)
provided by Midnight Rose. We will also have a silent auction,
with several items available for you to bid on.
These events are being held as a
fundraiser for the Foundation and also to get more alumni and
friends and family of alumni to join the Alumni Association.
The Foundation was formed to serve several purposes. Our
foremost goal is to support and benefit the students of Oceanside
High School. All donations will be used for scholarships,
educational grants for teachers, classroom needs and capital
improvements for the school that cannot be met with regular funding.
As always, all donations to the Foundation are tax deductible as we
are a 501(C)3 Corporation. Our tax ID number is 33-0290108.
These events are open to everyone in the
community, not just alumni and students. Come on out and have
fun, meet new people, and support your local high school and it's
students.
Be a part of the Oceanside High School
legacy by joining and supporting the OHS Foundation/Alumni
Association. For information, call 760-722-8201 ext. 5069
